    WHAT'S AT STAKE?

A thriving, financially sound community resource. This is a long-term mission of positive change for our youth, environment and community. Our objective is to save and continue the transformative revitalization of the Corica Park golf courses and experience, preserve and extend the many impactful youth and community centered programs within this thriving community, and put an end to the unjust discrimination against a local minority-owned business by a small group of politically connected activists with an outdated agenda to return course management to a status quo in retrograde.

    WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Standing up for what's right. After 10 years of overwhelmingly positive and nationally recognized improvement of Corica Park by Greenway Golf, the City of Alameda has abruptly and without merit taken legal action to nullify its contractual agreement with Greenway Golf in a cynical effort to capitalize on this remarkable turnaround to financially benefit a handful of connected individuals at the expense of the entire Alameda community. We're fighting back with a public awareness campaign, and we need you to stand with us for what's right.

    HOW POSITIVE CHANGE IS SUSTAINED

Transparency neutralizes politics. By exploring the comprehensive facts revealed on these pages, it will become clear that an informed constituency can effectively counter the disingenuous bluster of a privileged and connected minority, and prevent a short-sighted power grab to the detriment of our engaged community.

    GREENWAY IMPACT HIGHLIGHTS

Greenway Golf's management of the courses is providing an exceptional golfing experience and expanding access to the whole community. Through its unprecedented no-cost programming in 2021 and 2022 Greenway is providing:

  • 40,000+ hours of free golf course use for thousands of youth

  • 6,000+ hours of free instruction, mentorship and outdoor recreation programming for underserved youth

  • 4,000+ free meals for underserved youth

  • 3,000+ hours of paid job training and professional development for local students and young adults

  • 800+ additional community members with free use of space, event planning services, team-building and golf instruction, including Alameda small businesses, local families in need, student athletes from historically excluded groups and mission-aligned non-profits and their supporters.

  • Now we need YOU to stand with them and make our voices heard. We must end discrimination, bias and political favoritism by the Alameda Council, City Staff and its Golf Commission.

Stand with Corica Park. Stand for your kids. Stand for the programs. Stand for what's right. Please show your support by signing our petition to the Alameda City Council, City Staff and Golf Commission.
